Skill bonus: All Karaxians have what seems an uncanny ability to duck and dodge bullets, etc. It is not yet known whether this is due to the force. They therefore when created only, receive 2D in every 1D spent in dodge.

Story factors:

Packs: Karaxian Wolf men live in loose families called packs. If someone takes particularly good care of a certain Wolf man he may add that person to his pack.

Enslaved: Karaxian wolf men are often enslaved by Imperials and used as trackers. All wolf men therefore hate the Empire which takes away members of their pack. They are therefore always very protective of members of their packs.

Religion: once male Karaxian wolf men reach eighteen years they must leave their homes to create their own packs. Since starship technology was introduced to the Karaxians they have increasingly left their planet to find their destiny among the stars.

Traps: Karaxian wolf men prefer cunning to catch their victims and will often lay traps.

Background: Fenris was born on Karax, the son of the packleader for one of the chief packs in their territory and lived a satisfactory life until at the age of twelve when he was taken away by Imperials together with the other members of his litter, and so leaving his parents and knowing not what was to happen he curiously started moving about the ship and one of the Imperials on board the ship, an elderly captain Taint, seeing the small puppy who still only had paws and looked basically like a normal silver furred wolf and not realising how much they grew he hid it so that he could later give it as a gift to his son.

Fenris was given as a pet to a dreamy young man called Alex and was at first insulted by the human who seemed to severly patronize him. But Fenris soon learned basic and grew, eventually beeing taller than Alex, who didn't annoy him anymore, lest he had his arms pulled out. As Alex seemed hellbent on becoming an Imperial navy captain Fenris followed, learning how to fight in various different styles. Fenris remembers those four years as some of the best in his life. Then Alex left to become captain of some ship and Fenris hoping to be with him signed up as well. However Fenris was sent to a distant system where he worked as a tracker and was treated as a conscript, even worse a slave. Fenris wondered if Alex was treated the same although he doubted it, after all he was a human. The only good thing about doing what he was was that he was allowed to meet other wolf men and he met up with one of his twin brothers. After two years of service Fenris had had enough and lead the rest of the Wolf men in a revolt. They easily beat up the small amount of guards who had previously reagarded them as docile. Fenris then went on to lead the pack and claimed them his own. Finally he had his own pack and he was only 18. Fenris spent the next few years growing in power among underground circles as his pack worked as bounty hunters for anyone who'd pay. Then one day Fenris was offered a job to take out this Hutt and not knowing the extreme grudges which Hutt's had he accepted and the mission was a good success, the Thermal detonator taking out several other unwanted individuals at the same time. Then everything went bad, One of the Hutt's brother's heard that it was Fenris's pack who had killed the aquisition and several hunters were hired to kill everyone in the pack and that's what happened, everyone except Fenris who was on a trip to Karax to find his old pack. When he heard the news that for a second time he had lost his pack he went on a rampage, killing every Hutt he could find so that in the end no Hutt dared pay to have him killed.

Fenris was now 24 and he didn't know what to do, his whole life was destroyed and he was filled up with hate and anger. Fenris returned to his second home to find that Taint's parents were dead and noone had any idea where he might be. Fenris therefore signed up with a small personal army which was rebelling against the SCA, the only reason he joined up was because they would probably be dead within 6 months. They clashed with CSA marines on several occasions and they were soon destroyed, Fenris lying half dead mixed in with a large pile of marines. Looking up he saw two approach him, he recognised one as Alex Taint from his distinct smell.

"Shall we kill him", the other man said.

"No, we'll take him to a prison", said Taint dubiously.

Fenris sat in his prison cell thinking, he was scheduled for termination any day. Then he was visited by Taint. "Don't ever tell anyone", he said quietly and threw a fake retinal chip to Fenris and then left before anyone noticed he had been there. That night Fenris escaped, sneaking from cover to cover and using the fake eye at any check points he came across. Fenris then stole a ship and fled back to Karax and spent the next few years building up a new life and pack, once again wagging his tail <g> and finally managing to find his old pack but Taint had saved his life and Fenris wanted to repay that debt. A few years later Fenris heard that Taint had joined some security agency somewhere and Fenris instantly asked to join, hoping that some day he would be able to repay Taint.

note: It get's a bit annoying as Taint is hell bent on dieing before his men and Fenris is hell bent on dieing before Taint <g>.

A brief overview of Karax

Karax ix an Ice world in the mid rim which is covered with frozen over lakes and large pine trees. It has several hollowed out volcanoes which contain hot springs, thus providing water and shelter to Karaxians. Karaxian wolf men are commonly thought the be barbaric neanderthals however although they have a lack of technology, which they have adapted well to over the past decades, Karaxian society is quite civilised even though the hierarchical order if society depends for males on combat ability and females to produce off spring. Karax is filled with territory's of packs constantly warring for more although it is forbidden to kill another wolfman and fights must follow the proper procedures. Another law is that only the dominant male and female are allowed to mate. Males having to leave at eighteen and females are usually traded with other packs as laws forbid reproducing with anyone up to three generations related. Many males however leave their home planet's nowadays to seek their fortunes elsewhere, although they will often return to their home world many times during their lives. Karaxian wolf men hate the Empire as during it's time in power it took away many of their puppies to work as trackers and scouts. Karaxian law is based on the Ragnarok which is their holy book and their culture is largely based on this as well.

Karaxian wolfmen slowly evolved from the wolves which still live on Karax and the wolfmen treat these creatures as their brothers and equals. As Karaxian wolfmen have evolved into bipeds they are no longer as quick as their wolf counterparts, well...between the ages of 6 and twelve they are almost exactly like their predecessors, They use their superior intellect to make traps, The most common being the Karaxian gas grenades and mines which they lay around the forest floor, the pressure pads only reacting to the extreme weight of the Karaxian fish eaters which are able to cut through the deep Karaxian ice which which covers all the seas and lakes. Karaxian wolfmen do not really trade with other species although they do extract useful minerals of which there exist large quantities on their planet which they trade for anti-orbital weapons in case of pirates as well as buying massive quantities of space ships as all wolf men are fascinated by this science and love to fly.
